WeCanReason Webinar Series Wednesday, March 29, 7:00 pm

We are fortunate to have Dr. Phil Zuckerman speak on "Why are Atheists So Moral?". He will demonstrate that atheists are, in fact, very moral. Then he will consider some possible reasons why this is the case. Finally, we atheists will have more and better answers to the question that we always hear from religious family and friends, "Where do you get your morals if you don't believe in God?"

Phil Zuckerman is a professor of sociology and secular studies at Pitzer College in Claremont, California. For two years, he was a guest professor at the University of Aarhus in Denmark. As a sociologist, Phil has studied the lives of nonreligious people at home in the U.S. and around the world. The results of his research are much different than predicted by many philosophers and religious people. After gathering a wealth of knowledge about secular populations, he founded the first academic program in secular studies in the United States.
You can find information about the results of his studies in the books he has written, such as Society Without God, What It Means to Be Moral, Living the Secular Life, Faith No More, and many more. Phil also writes a blog if Psychology Today, titled “The Secular Life.” In addition, Phil is the Research Editor for Only Sky Media. He is frequently called upon to speak to organizations and societies, large and small. You definitely do not want to miss this webinar. The Zoom link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81416289479.
