RMA Movie Night March 2023

This month's movie is Holy Hell, a documentary about the experience of Will Allen when he was a member of the Buddhafield cult. Having graduated from film school before he was drawn into the cult, Allen became the documentarian for the leader, Michel Rostand. Over time, the conditions within the cult deteriorated and after 22 years, Allen left the cult and managed to keep some of the footage that he had filmed. Later, he produced the documentary using some of the original footage and interviews with former cult members. It might seem too bizarre to be true, but the actual footage verifies that it all really happened.
