Life Without Religion is a peer support group for people who have left religion and whose lives have been negatively impacted as a result. Usually, the difficulty is a result of having left a high-control religion but this is not always the case. Sometimes, people who have never been religious have close friends or relatives who are fundamentalists or someone new comes into their lives who is “born again” and creates dilemmas. LWR is here for these people also. We discuss difficult problems and analyze possible approaches to a solution.

Due to the nature of the group, an interview with the group leader or another representative of the group, is necessary before joining. It is imperative that group membership remain anonymous. An individual is certainly welcome to acknowledge one’s own involvement in this group, but never should they divulge the names or contact information of other members. The group meets twice per month in a private setting. Members receive the Zoom link or location by email a day or two before each meeting.
