The topic of his presentation is From Conformity to Liberation: A Journey through Religious Boarding School and its Aftermath. Uthman is a PhD student at the University of Alberta in Sociocultural Anthropology. He has an interest in religious trauma caused by questioning fundamentalist religions. It will be interesting to hear about a different perspective on the causes of religious trauma.
