Book Club, May 9, 2024, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm MST

Interested in joining Book Club? We meet virtually, once a month on the second Thursday of the month. Everyone is welcome and everyone will have a chance to share their personal impression of the book. Then there will be an open discussion.

This month, the Book Club will be discussing the book, Best Things First: The 12 most efficient solutions for the world’s poorest and our global SDG promises, by Bjorn Lomborg. Lomborg is the founder and president of the Copenhagen Consensus think tank. The think tank studies ways of advancing global welfare. They have consulted with hundreds of experts including many Nobel laureates. They focus on practical methods for improving the welfare of people throughout the world. In the book, Lomborg examines twelve of the most doable projects that will actually improve the lives of people in the poorest countries that can be accomplished economically. Join the discussion by clicking on https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82486916067.
